We're always working to make it easier to find electronic component information, and this week we rolled out an update to the BOM Tool that makes uploading BOMs easier than ever. Now, the BOM Tool can guess which columns from your imported BOM correspond to columns within the BOM Tool.  This is the case for all columns that support importing data. Previously, this only worked for part number and quantity, but now schematic reference, description, and any other line item details in your file will be intelligently matched to the headers we support as well.

Once you've verified that all of your column headers are correct, we also ask if everything looks okay. If they don't, it's easy to go back and change them without having to upload your entire BOM again.

It even speaks our second most common language for BOM imports, German! The BOM Tool will recognize if you have German headers and match them to the headers in our system. Be sure to check it out and let us know what you think!
